Annapurna Circuit Mountain Biking
Nepal is one of the best places to enjoy mountain biking in the Asia. It encompasses several trails which explore hills, mountains, alpine forests, hidden communities and their lifestyle too. This extraordinary Annapurna Circuit Mountain Biking trip takes you to some of the most stunning and exotic biking routes in Nepal. It passes through a variety of different landscapes, from lush sub-tropical rain forest. Further, it also passes through deep valleys and cultivated fields, to wooded alpine and high deserts.
Touring the villages, meeting the local people on the way and enjoying spectacular views of massive Himalayan peaks is the highlight of the trip. Reach the lowland villages, dense oak forests, deep gorges and lovely isolated hamlets. And reach the lap of the mighty high mountains and the Gangapurna lake . It is one of the beautiful altitude fresh water lakes. To top it all, the crossing of the Thorang La Pass (5,416 m) is a challenging ascent. It is surrounded by some of the most magnificent mountain sceneries in the world.
One can experience spectacular views of the several Himalayas including Annapurna and Manaslu. We visit remote and lowland villages, dense of oak forests, deep gorges, and high mountains and lakes. We’ll also visit Tilicho lake, world highest altitude water lakes.

Kathmandu Airport Arrival (1345 meters)
Back Roads and Trails of Kathmandu
You’ll have breakfast at a hotel early in the morning around 7 am. Then, you will go with us in warm-up ride exploring a portion of the best trails in the Kathmandu Valley; test your bikes and gear to ensure everything is prepared for the adventure ahead.
In 3 to 4 hours of riding, we will cover around 40km at a consistent pace exploring the remote parts of the valley, single tracks and touring at some temples and come back to Thamel for lunch. Then, check your bikes and shop necessary things for the trip. Overnight at Hotel.
Kathmandu to Besisahar
Tomorrow morning, we meet at Thamel and heap up the bikes for the 5-hour drive to Besishar. We stop at en route to enjoy the views and take some lunch. On landing in Besishar, we set aside some time to explore the town, and we meet our porters and finish our outing arrangements. We’ll stay overnight at Hotel
Ride from Besishar to Tal (1700m) Distance: - 37.4km
Today, we ride more than 1000 meters of uphill takes us with the river, it’s an excellent segment of the ride and 100% rideable along Marsyandi River.
We can see some pleasant landscape with soak sided valleys terraced with homesteads and little towns from the Tal. Tal is located at in a deep canyon, and you can see falling waterfalls en route. We will stay overnight at Hotel.
Ride from Tal (1700m) to Chame (2670m) Distance: - 22.6km
Today, we will head towards after having breakfast at a resident hotel in Tal. The Tal-Chame trail is one of the longest and hardest segments on this trip. The trail is toughest and fun filled. There are extraordinary wilderness and river views so take this stage enduring and enjoy the ride. We’ll stay overnight at Hotel.
Ride from Chame (2670m) to Manang(3540m) Distance: - 29.7km
Today, we will ride towards Manang from Chame. The trail still ascensions yet turns out to be more rideable today as it extends once again into a jeep track. The forest opens up into the bone-dry mountain area, and you can get magnificent views of the Himalaya as you ride. It’s a smart idea to take it relentlessly to enable your body to adjust. We will stay overnight at Hotel.
Rest & Exploration at Manang
Manang is one of the culturally and richest districts in Nepal. One can enjoy watching marvelous sceneries from close to their eyes.Take a day to rest and get ready for the hard days to come.
You can explore Manang through short hikes nearby area. You can visit high altitude lakes, rest and relax in Manang, perhaps you won’t have any desire to take off! From here you will be heading into the whole mountain wilderness.
Sometimes you can see the old archery games and horse racing. We’ll stay overnight at same Hotel where we spent last night.
Ride from Manang (3540m) to Throng Phedi (4450m) Distance: - 19km
Today, we ride from Manang to Yak Kharka, set aside time to enjoy the mountain sceneries. There are few areas where you have to carry your bikes, but for the most part, the trail is rideable. We’ll stay overnight at Hotel.
Ride Throng Phedi (4450m) to Muktinath (3760m) Via Throng La (5416m) Distance: - 22km
Next day, early in the morning, you need to make the whole deal carrying and pushing your bicycle up more than 1300 meters to Throng La. Which is one of the most difficult parts of the ride that will show enthusiasm and a true spirit of any mountain biker as you battle the elevation and the cold to reach there.
You won’t simply be heaving from the altitude. But, also wheezing in wonderment as this segment of the adventure proffers brilliant rewards with glorious views from Throng La of the snow-covered mountains and heavenly specialized downhill on the opposite side that will make them smile from ear to ear, or if you’re a bit nervous maybe browning your pants!
At the end of the day, you will receive a warm welcome and rest at Muktinath. We’ll stay overnight at Hotel.
Ride from Muktinath (3760m) to Tukuche(2590m) Via Lupra Valley Distance – 32km
Which follows is a fantastic area of switchback single tracks that brings you down to the river in Lupra Valley. Re-join the main trip and head towards Jomsom for lunch.
In the wind, this can be an intense riding but stop and enjoy the views on the way. The trail moves into Tukuche, a dazzling old town on the waterway side. Set aside some time to explore the cobbled paths and the Thakali culture of the zone.
We stay overnight in the very much renovated German Bakery. Apple Brandy is a local item and a decent night top to unwind your mind and body after the whole day’s ride. We’ll stay overnight at Hotel.
Ride from Tukuche(2590m) to Tatopani(1190m) Distance: - 42km
Today, we ride up to Tatopani from Tukuche. The trail begins delicate and wanders all through the valley sides, through pine woods and remote villages. Following the river, there are stunning views of the snow-topped mountains.
We’ll take lunch at the breathtaking waterfalls, Rukse Chaahara. Then, the speed gets as the trail drops around 1000 meters with clearing bends and dives, rough segments and bumps that you will love.
Move to Tatopani, the cobble-lined villages well known for its reviving Hot Springs. When you reach there, you can chill into relieving shower in the Hot Springs and maybe local advice won’t go off to some faraway place, or a cold place so far as that is concerned! We’ll stay overnight at Hotel.
Ride from Tatopani to Beni and Back to Pokhara
Today, we’ll ride towards Pokhara via Beni on the way. A ride of around 25 km on open jeep track, flat for the most part but few ups and slopes as we abandon the Annapurna Region. From Beni we catch up jeep back to Pokhara for a very much earned rest and maybe a beer, a good dinner and some fun times all over the place! You can enjoy the night life of Pokhara checking clubs and lakeside area. We’ll stay overnight at Hotel.
Return to Kathmandu from Pokhara via Flight
