Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

You will be met and greeted with a traditional welcome by our representatives and be transferred to your hotel.

A brief orientation along with the necessary documentation will be carried out by your guide. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

After breakfast you will drive towards Syabrubesi, a famous trekking and trading town in the district of Rasuwa. The duration of the travel will be of around 8 hours through the Pokhara Highway. On your way to Sybrubesi, you will reach town of Dhunche, where your guide will get your permits to head further north towards the Langtang National Park. After a descent down the valley you will finally reach Syabrubesi, where you will find a range of shops to stock yourself with last minute supplies. It’s better to call an early day and take plenty of rest to prepare a challenging day ahead.

Syabrubesi- Lama Hotel Trek

The trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel takes around 3 and half hours. You initially cross the Bhote Koshi river, a major river of Nepal origination form the high mountains of Tibet. From then on you follow the path of the river, passing through forest of rhododendron and oak. After climbing a steep trail, you reach the Lama Hotel, which is a rudimentary hotel.

Lama Hotel- Langtang + Trek

The trek duration is of about 5 hours which provides an occasional glimpse of the Langtang Lirung mountan. Once you reach the Ghora Tabela, you will find the Nepali Army’s post with a temporary settlement of non inhabitant Tibetans as well. As we continue to ascent the trail, we reach a monastery and also vast pastures used by local inhabitants to graze their herd. Upon reaching Langtang, you will find houses typical of mountainous regions with thick thatched roof and stoned walls. You can also witness the how the village through the concerted effort of the villagers has recovered from the devastating effects of the earthquake.

Langtang- Kyanjin Gompa Trek

The trek takes around 3 hours with the trail ascending through small villages and yak pastures. After crossing several moraines and streams you finally reach a settlement at Kyangjin. You will reach Kyangjin by lunch time, which will give you enough time to acclimatize with the surrounding and explore the surroundings. You will also be surrounded with a view of majestic snow capped mountains all around your periphery.

Explore Kyangjin Gompa

A day to rest and indulge in light excursions where you can explore the area and hike upto the Langtang glaciers. You can also taste some Himalayan cheese at the local cheese factory. The sight of the ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung is something you would not like to miss.

Trek to Base Camp

The base camp which lies at an altitude of  4987m, takes around 6 hours to reach. The trail to the base camp is an uphill ascent through beautiful rhododendron forests. We set up base at an open rocky area with strams of fresh water flowing through it. The site of the base camp offers some spectacular views with Langtang Lirung, langshisa Ri and Shisapangma to the north and Naya Kanga to the south.

Trek to Baden Powell Peak and Back to Base Camp

This day we start our trek in the wee hours of the morning and head twards the peak.After an ascent of about 50m we climb a snowy slope leading to a glacier. The path eventually leads to a large glacial bowl. From ther the ascent is a bit steeper of about 40 degrees, which we climb with the help of rope of around 100m. We stay on the ice and climb around the rock up until we reach the top of a ridge at about 5,500m. We then climb another steep portion. After passing through a number of crevasses, we climb another 100m to the top. The ridge at the top is really narrow with little space. The view from the summit is exhilarating, with the sight of Ganesh Himal, Shshapangma, Naya Kanga and even the Kathmadu valley if the weather permits. From there we again return to the base camp.

Trek to Langtang Village form the Base Camp

This day we return to Langtang Village following the same route.

Trek to Lama Hotel

After a brief stop at Ghora Tabela for lunch we head towards Lama Hotel.Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.

Trek to Syabrubesi

This day we trek back to Syabrubesi. Along the way you can experience the local culture and at the same time take in the spectacular view of the Himalayas.

Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

This day you will make a return drive to Kathmandu. Any part of the day remaining will be for yourself to engage in last minute activities. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Final Departure

You will be taken from your hotel to the airport as per your schedule. You will reach the airport 2 hours prior to your flight.

You can tour around Kathmandu where you will be accompanied by a guide of your lingual preference. The tour will include a visit to the following places:

  • Boudhanath: A major Buddhist stupa located at the north eastern outskirts of Kathmandu.
  • Pashupatinath:The most revered temple by Hindus in Nepal, the temple carries a significance of mystical proportions and is a site to many important life events of Hindus.
  • Swayambhunath: Sitting atop a hill, it is the most prominent Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal and is one of many sites of Nepal included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square: Durbar Square or the Palace Square is ancient courtyard the then Malla Kings of Kathmandu Valley which is abundant is breathtaking architecture.
